Lumpia is a spring roll of Chinese origin commonly found in the Philippines. It is a savory snack made of thin crepe pastry skin called “lumpia wrapper” wrapped around a mixture of savory fillings, including chopped vegetables and minced meat (Mom’s contain pork). In a Filipino home, lumpia is one of the most common dishes found in any kind of gathering, and Mom rolls hers from scratch right here at Mom & Pops.

Mom & Pops Burgers operates as ONE-TEAM, where each member of our team is valued equitably, earns a living wage that is at or above both the Federal and Massachusetts minimum wages, and is not forced to rely upon tips or gratuities to deliver an outstanding dining experience.  Any additional monies given or left by our patrons are not treated as “tips” and/or “gratuities” since under state law, “tips” and/or “gratuities” can only be shared amongst wait staff and bartenders, but not with our hard-working kitchen staff who prepare and present for you our delicious food.

As we strive to recognize and reward the contributions of our ONE-TEAM, and rather than charge you a separate “kitchen appreciation fee,” Mom & Pops Burgers equitably distributes 100% of additional monies given or left by patrons to both our counter staff taking your order, and our kitchen staff preparing and presenting it.  None of these monies is ever retained by owners or paid to managers.

Absolutely not. While we will do our best to service your order as quickly as possible, we make everything here fresh (nothing pre-processed or frozen), cook everything to order, and hope nothing about your experience at Mom & Pops feels like a fast food restaurant. As such, a wait is inevitable from time to time, but as the saying goes, “the best things in life are worth waiting for, especially the food at Mom & Pops.”

Not from around here, eh? That’s ok, we’ll make it easy for you. According to the American Heritage College Dictionary, a milkshake is “a beverage that is made of milk, ice cream, and often flavoring, which is blended or whipped until foamy.” Unless of course you grew up here in New England, where a ”milkshake” would never include ice cream. Adding ice cream makes it a ”frappe” of course!

We use a seeded brioche bun for our burgers and most other items. Please ask your server if you have a question about which bun is used on a menu item.

Yes, we can substitute a gluten free bun for our standard buns to make any of our hamburgers gluten free.

Fair question. Butchering, grinding and pattying our burgers in-house, hand-rolling Mom's lumpia, and preparing all of our other items from scratch daily takes great time, care and effort (not to mention space). Our goal is to makes these items the best we can — that's why our focus is perfecting on what we do offer, and working hard every day to make it happen.

We have 33 seats inside, and addtional seating in our outdoor beer garden. We do not take reservations and all seats are on a first come, first sit basis.
